Charles Reed in Fastnet

This world famous bi-annual race sets off from Cowes on Sunday 12 August and Charles will be taking his place in a largely amateur team drawn from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience. His participation in the Fastnet challenge is part of a drive to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief and the Tadworth Children’s Trust.

The race is a non-stop 600 mile event from the Solent to the Fastnet rock off the south western tip of Ireland and back to Plymouth. It’s a gruelling trip that should take UKSA Whirlwind around four days depending on conditions.

Anyone wishing to support Charles’s Fastnet appeal for Macmillan and the Tadworth Children’s Trust can pledge donations by calling him or Trish Dawson on 020 8401 4321.
