Catholic to give something back

"Like all organisations that care about the communities that we serve, we are always looking at ways in which we can put something back into society which benefits the people who most need help," said Phil Sanders, chief executive of the Catholic Building Society. "But we are an organisation that does not have deep pockets. As a result, we have to look at innovative ways of raising money and increasing the Society’s membership."

The campaign will be launched when members of the Catholic Building Society receive a special pack, containing a voucher enabling them to get a £100 discount off their annual holiday. To take advantage of this offer, members have to do is recommend to the Society a friend or relative who is interested in becoming a new member.

For every member that takes part, a payment of £30 will be made to The Railway Children. The charity has been working internationally on behalf of street children for over five years.
