Catalyst appoints intermediary relationship manager

Specialist property lender Catalyst has appointed Ciaran Courtney (pictured) as intermediary relationship manager.

Courtney, who has worked in mortgage finance for more than 25 years, started his career at NatWest before working with the Bank of Ireland as a mortgage adviser, and with Mortgage Intelligence as a business development manager.

He joins the lender’s new business team reporting to sales director James Farge, who said Courtney stood out from other candidates due to his exceptional market experience.

“Having worked both as a lender and a broker, he truly understands what intermediaries are looking for in terms of product and support,” Farge added. “He is well connected in the industry and will hit the ground running. I know he will help take the team from strength to strength.”

Courtney said he was ready for a new challenge and wanted a new role that allowed him to utilise his previous experience in a “fresh way.”

“I was attracted to Catalyst as they take an innovative approach to lending,” he explained. “While their office environment feels relaxed, they all work very hard to deliver results for their brokers and borrowers. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team better and building my broker relationships.”
