Business Lending adds to panel

Rural & Business Specialists offers specific advice and products in the growing rural finance market. Business Lending is looking to expand in this area and it has designed its products to meet the needs of this specific market area, which often falls outside the remit of mainstream mortgage lenders.

Rural finance is seen as a rapidly expanding market. Clients are varied and can range from high net worth individuals looking for lifestyle changes to farmers restructuring existing borrowing or looking to expand and diversify.

Kevin Cooke, sales and marketing director of Business Lending, said: “We are delighted to extend our expertise by offering products for this growing market. Rural & Business Specialists has the expertise which brokers will find useful in this area and we are delighted to welcome it to our packager panel.”

Jim Richards, director of Rural & Business Specialists, added: “This partnership comes at a time when intermediaries are dealing with growing numbers of complex agricultural or rural land-based enquiries. We have been impressed with Business Lending and its appetite for this lending niche and look forward to working it.”

John Malone, managing director of Premier Mortgage Service, said: “Commercial lending is very specialist and someone has to be exceptionally knowledgeable to give advice to clients on this subject. This sort of move doesn’t surprise me, as the sector is all about specialism and this is where we direct our customers. The way forward for brokers when acting for a client on commercial property is with specialists. It’s completely different to residential lending and they have to work with a specialist for the benefit of both lender and client.”
