brokersbible.co.uk launches

Brokers Bible provides a free ‘one stop shop’ and point of access to the information and services of providers across different sectors of the UK mortgage industry.

The site has been established by a mortgage broker for mortgage brokers, and is inspired by the successful ‘block directory’ grid format of the famous Million Dollar Homepage website. However, Brokers Bible has only 500 blocks available for subscribers, and early take-up of these is strongly advised.

Brokers Bible has been developed in response to a need for a comprehensive on-line directory to help brokers navigate services on offer and find exactly what they need. The site is searchable through the block formatted homepage or from a directory of providers, which is accessed by category.

Brokers Bible fills a market gap by providing a route to simple, good value, low-cost on-line advertising space, through which brokers/ site visitors can access and select services from subscribing companies via links to their own websites. The Brokers Bible format particularly encourages the inclusion and representation of smaller firms and service providers in the directory, with attractive subscription rates and strict limits placed on how many blocks larger players may purchase.

Space for the directory is currently open to all firms operating in the UK mortgage industry. However, a total of only 500 blocks is available. Valuable incentives are in place for early subscribers, and early birds also get the prime choice of block locations on the grid. In view of the limited availability of the offering and the strong level of interest even ahead of its official ‘launch’, potential advertisers are encouraged to act now or risk being excluded from the 2006 directory.

The site will be particularly attractive to smaller service providing companies who cannot afford to market themselves in press advertising or through expensive mailings.

Founder Rashid Nandhla said:

“The idea for Brokers Bible was born from a personal frustration in how difficult and time-consuming finding and selecting a service provider actually was. By providing a simple and comprehensive directory service, accessible free to all brokers, hours of valuable business time otherwise spent trawling the Internet or rummaging through adverts can be saved. Search engines and traditional general directories cannot be used to find a new packager or network, for example, so I am sure this site will make life easier for brokers.

The directory will be archived each year. Over time, this will provide brokers with a clear guide to providers’ long term business aims and commitment to the sector, and will become a ‘Who’s Who’ reference document of the mortgage industry each year.

The site is driven by a service motive. Income generated from advertising revenues will be reinvested to ensure brokersbible.co.uk remains a ‘must visit’ and essential reference site for mortgage brokers for many years to come.”

Plans for the site include regular brokers’ forums, opinion surveys, newsletters and sponsored prize events. Other developments such as a network comparison section are also planned, to be based on user feedback from brokers.
