Broker singled out in national awards

A celebration of entrepreneurial talent among the UK's small to medium-sized companies, anyone employing up to 500 people, some 10,000 UK firms, could enter.

Intending to celebrate the achievements of innovative and wealth-creating businesses the awards are operated annually by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

The only Mortgage Intermediary reaching the final line up for the “Most Promising Young Company” award was national broker franchise, mortgageforce, which has innovated franchise delivery of mortgages in the UK since its launch in 2000 and already has 125 mortgage advisers country-wide.

In getting to the final 6 firms, from over 500 entrants, the judges were looking for:

- Delivered on – and exceeded – your original business plan.

- Hard, tangible evidence of commercial success.

- A clear and compelling vision of the company’s future development.

Mortgageforce was shortlisted to the final 6 and was pipped to the post by “Friends Reunited”, the UK’s most visited website.

The award winners were announced at a London ceremony in the presence of 700 guests, including Rugby World Cup winner, Richard Hill, who joined the room-full of winners for his own personal victory parade.

Commenting on being the only mortgage broker to reach the finishing line, Managing Director, Robert Clifford said: “For mortgageforce to have been named as one of the top 6 most promising companies in the country is fantastic. To be alongside such a well-known player as Friends Reunited is staggering, given that they’re one of the World’s largest membership organisations – we would like to congratulate them on their award.”
