Broker draws up lender compensation form

Dave King, director at A.S.K Independent Consultants, has drawn up the claim form so that he and other brokers can charge for the time spent fixing problems he claims are the lenders’ fault.

“I charge myself out at £100 per hour and my assistants out at £50 per hour. Hopefully by doing this we can emphasise the loss in revenue suffered by broker firms when sorting out somebody else’s errors.”

He added: “Insurance companies have learned that when they are wrong they will pay compensation for their uselessness. Lenders do not seem to subscribe to this philosophy even when they are, oh so often, wrong.”
