Bristol & West Mortgages appoints new managing director

Mr McCormack has wide experience of the mortgage market and has been managing director of Bank of Ireland Mortgages for 3 years. He has worked at Bank of Ireland Mortgages for 10 years, starting as a trainee sales executive before working his way up to head of sales and, subsequently, managing director. Before joining Bank of Ireland Mortgages, he gained experience as a financial adviser and options trader.

"I will move to my new role in January 2005, but until then my focus will be on running Bank of Ireland Mortgages and ensuring that a strong successor is appointed to run the company when I leave."

Stewart Wright has worked at Bristol & West for 28 years in a wide variety of roles, including customer administration, finance and Bristol & West's retail network. He has been managing director of Bristol & West Mortgages for 3 years. Mr Wright plans to focus on charity work following his retirement.
