BM Solutions doing its bit for charity with Shelter

The partnership centres on raising funds for Shelter, aiming at £350,000 for 2005. This will be raised through a £2.50 donation for every mortgage completion and staff fundraising. The Shelter charity football match alone aims to raise £60,000. This strategic partnership is not just about fundraising. Shelter and BM Solutions will share policy, good practice and work together in tackling the causes and consequences of bad housing.

Commenting on the new partnership, Michael Bolton, managing director, BM Solutions, said "As an industry we have social responsibilities. Treating customers fairly and responsible lending should mean something. We are proud to support Shelter and all it does to help people in difficulty. We encourage other lenders joining us in support of Shelter."

Liz Monks, Deputy Director of Fundraising at Shelter said, "We are very grateful to Birmingham Midshires for their support, and we hope that over the coming years, we can raise money to help people who are suffering the effects of bad housing. We also hope we can develop a partnership that helps tackle some of the problems of homelessness before they happen."
