BDS adds to team

With years of financial services experience, Jamie Fitzjohn has accepted the position of business development manager. For the last five years, Jamie has been a self-employed IFA and previous to that worked for NatWest as the youngest branch manager of his time in Fareham. His role will be to develop existing broker relationships to increase both awareness and usage of the BDS product and service range. He will be mainly concentrating efforts in the South Coast area but will be open to any opportunities that present themselves.

Lucy Farrow is confirmed as compliance manager for the Group, heading up the team of seven and reporting directly into Bob Hope, head of sales and network. Lucy joins us from Huntswood CTC Limited where she was a senior consultant specialising in regulated compliance activities with the mortgage and insurance sectors.

Tracy Graham joins the Platinum Partners from Cheltenham & Gloucester as an underwriter, working mainly with the 50 strong approved satellite packagers of the BDS Group.

Finally, the recently-launched non-conforming desk The Mortgage Helper has appointed Sarah Miatt as their sales co-ordinator. The lead-based mortgage desk deals mainly in the non-conforming area and recently tied in with PAA Leads to offer a lead package to the BDS Mortgage Network members.

Speaking about these appointments, Bob Hope, head of sales and network, commented: "BDS is going from strength to strength and I am delighted to welcome all four staff members. Having just launched a raft of services including BDS Commercial and General Insurance; enhancing our satellite packaging proposition and increasing the network to 128 sellers, it is little wonder that we are expanding at a rate of knots. Our service is paramount and I am confident that these new recruits will help us maintain the standards we have worked so hard to establish."
