AToM shuffles pack

Richard, who joins AToM on 1 June 2006, will take over from founder Vic Jannels who is set to become executive chairman of the AToM Group.

AToM was recently voted 'Mortgage Packager of The Year' by the readers of Financial Adviser.

Richard said: “This award serves to epitomise the strengths and expertise of AtoM. It is a great time for me to be joining and I greatly look forward to the challenges ahead in ensuring that AToM remains at the forefront of packaging during its next growth phase.”

As MD, Richard will be responsible for managing the next phase of AToM’s growth; ensuring that AToM’s high standards of service are maintained as the business looks to further expansion. Richard has been a non-executive director of AToM for the past two years whilst running his own consultancy business.

Vic Jannels said: “We are delighted that Richard has agreed to join AToM. He has a wealth of experience with leading financial companies and has successfully managed growing businesses. He will be backed by a first class management team and I know that Richard has the high level expertise AToM is looking for right now.

“I am also looking forward to this new phase for the business. It will give me more time to focus on new challenges, such as developing both the Professional Mortgage Packagers Alliance (PMPA) and Unity Homeloans. Both of which I believe have an outstanding future.”

Prior to joining AToM, Richard has held a number of senior management positions in the industry, including head of endowment redress, project manager and structural review manager at HBOS. He has also worked as head of UK and Ireland card propositions at AMEX, managing a department of 400 people. In more recent times he was sales and service director at Britannic Money (now Mortgage Trust) and is well known in the mortgage sector.
