Assetz appoints BDM

He will have the task of raising awareness of the Assetz Property Funds within Independent Financial Advisors (IFA) networks.

Nick Booker has worked as a development consultant and property investment advisor, contributing at industry and consumer events. In 2005, he chaired a series of debates on the property market at the leading Property Investor Show held in London’s Docklands.

Over the last 18 months, Nick has been involved with several organisations working on Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs) and the role that property investment can play in retirement planning.

As co-founder of the In2Perspective.com website, Nick brings with him the experience of providing readers with daily news and analysis from the UK property market. Nick also holds a degree in Philosophy from King’s College London.

Commenting on his new role, Nick said: "The Assetz property funds present an excellent opportunity for IFAs looking for ways to meet the demand for SIPPs as property investments. When the often uninspiring world of pensions was combined with property it really captured the public's imagination. I look forward to working closely with IFAs and explaining the opportunity Assetz' innovative new products present them and their clients."

Stuart Law, managing director of Assetz, said: “I am delighted to welcome Nick on board and am confident that he will be an extremely positive addition to the company. His experience in delivering news and analysis to a wide audience along with his focus on property investment in retirement planning puts him in the ideal position to deliver the message of our funds to IFAs. His support for IFAs promoting these funds to their clients will bring fund raising to a level that will allow us to beat our target of £150m gross assets under management by the end of 2006.”
