ARLA appoints Savage

Savage has more than 30 years’ experience of the UK and overseas letting market.

During his career he has advised foreign governments, listed companies and high net worth individuals on their UK based property assets and future investments.

Savage is currently the chairman of Simplify Estate Management and works as a consultant for Essex-based lettings and property management company Prime Property Management.

The outgoing ARLA president is Valerie Bannister, who is the national property director at Your Move.

Savage said: “I’m overjoyed to take on the role of president.

“I am dedicated to the further growth and development of the ARLA message to consumers and its influence upon regulators and legislators.

“A main goal of mine is to continue to enhance the benefits offered to ARLA members and to encourage young people to view the industry as an exciting and rewarding career option.”

Savage is a long standing member of ARLA, having held a number of voluntary roles within the association under the last four presidents.

In his new role he will promote ARLA, and represent member agents and speak at ARLA regional meetings and local conferences.

David Cox, managing director, ARLA, said: “We are excited to have Peter on board as ARLA’s newly elected president.

“Peter brings a wealth of industry experience to the role - he is fully committed to all the values and standards that ARLA represents and is dedicated to seeking good outcomes for our members.”
