The arrangement will start in October as mortgage regulation comes into being and will mean Andrews' mortgage customers will be offered Legal & General's range of excellent value protection and general insurance products.

Andrews is one of the UK's largest networks of estate agents. The firm has been trading since 1946 and today has 49 estate agency branches located across the south of the UK from Bristol to Kent. Andrews is unique in estate agency being owned by three charitable trusts which drive its philosophy of

delivering customers fair value products and services to continue to generate an increasing dividend for the charities to continue their work.

Speaking about the announcement, Graham Newitt, Managing Director Intermediary Solutions at Legal & General said, "I am delighted that Andrews have decided to join The Legal & General Partnership. They are a major force in the UK housing market and their support for our proposition for mortgage regulation indicates how strong that proposition is. We are two like-minded

companies with first class brands offering customers excellent value for money products and service".

The Legal & General Partnership has been established to act as Principal for around 3,000 advisers across the UK and is likely to be one of the UK's largest mortgage advice groups.

Chris Chapman, Director of Financial Services at Andrews said, "We were keen to find a partner who offered a close fit in terms of Andrews' brand values of service, integrity and performance. Legal & General were able to offer just that. With access to the whole market for mortgages and a comprehensive range of protection products, they represented the best offer for our

consultants in the field and, in turn, our customers. Above all, Legal & General clearly understand our business and are set to offer us real support in the mortgage and protection market".

Legal & General's end to end technology will play a big part in helping Andrews branch based sales advisers to continue to deliver good value products and services to customers by allowing them to submit financial services business to the company in the most cost effective and efficient way.

Membership of The Legal & General Partnership will enable Andrews to continue to operate as independent mortgage advisers after regulation and to receive market leading compliance support and services.
