AMI hosts seminars at Expo

The two-day industry exhibition takes place on 17 and 18 May at the G-MEX Centre where visitors will also find a range of lenders, product providers, networks, packagers, clubs and technology firms all exhibiting.

AMI’s programme of seminars, under the banner ‘The Profit Centre’, cover a range of regulatory and business issues, designed to give visitors a wealth of information on how they can increase profit margins in their businesses.

Chris Cummings, director-general of AMI, will open each day’s programme with a review of the major issues and AMI’s work in these areas, while Michael Lord, head of mortgages and credit unions at the FSA, will provide an overview of regulatory progress to date and a look at its intentions for the future.

Other seminars cover potential business areas for mortgage intermediaries. These include:

- Equity release

- Buy-to-let

- Commercial mortgages

- Lead generation

- The future of distribution

- Secured lending

Rob Griffiths, associate director of AMI, commented: “This year’s AMI seminars aim to give visitors an understanding of a number of new areas their businesses could expand into.Coupled with a comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape from both Chris Cummings and Michael Lord means this year’s programme should have something for everyone.

“Visitors can find AMI’s stand at B60 where AMI staff will be available to answer your questions and provide further information on the benefits of AMI membership.”
