AMI elects board members

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) has announced that it has filled the five vacancies on its board, following its annual election process.

On the AMI board’s practitioner constituency, Rachel Lummis of Xpress Mortgages has been elected, while Andrew Montlake, of Coreco Mortgages, and Scott Taylor-Barr, of Carl Summers Financial Services, were re-elected.

Will Hale, of Key, was re-elected on the board’s national constituency, while Kay Leslie, of HL Partnership, was elected to the network constituency.

AMI, being an open and transparent body, elects all board positions on at least a three-year rolling cycle. Existing members of the board may stand for re-election. The board is based upon a constituency basis:

  • The chief executive
  • Adviser constituency - three places
  • Regional firm constituency - two places
  • National firm constituency - two places
  • The network constituency - four places
  • The club constituency - one place
  • Association of Finance Brokers - one place
  • Co-options - five places

“This process ensures that the membership affirms that it is being properly represented,” Robert Sinclair (pictured), chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries, said. “I would like to thank all those who stood for election, which ensures a proper democratic process.

“The board would like to express their sincere thanks to Abi Greenhalgh of Nest Financial Services for her service over the last three years. They would also like to thank Simon Broadley, formerly of Tenet, for his work and support over the previous five years. With the busy regulatory agenda, AMI remains well positioned to promote and protect the mortgage advice community.”
