Adrian Whittaker to join Kensington

Whittaker will join from conveyancing firm My Home Move where he has been corporate sales director since March 2013.

Formerly Whittaker was key accounts director at Abbey for Intermediaries but was made redundant in January 2013 following a sales team restructure.

It is understood that he will take on a similar role at a new mainstream residential and buy-to-let lender being launched by Kensington's parent company Acenden sometime in the Autumn.

Rumour also has it that the new lender will be headed up by former Barclays intermediary mortgage director David Finlay with his deputy Sarah Green also tipped to join the new venture.

Kensington group chief executive Keith Street and Finlay both declined to comment.

Dev Malle, group sales director at myhomemove, said: “Adrian has played a key role in helping to build our multi-channel distribution strategy and has brought a great level of skills and knowledge to the organisation. Clearly he goes with our best wishes and I know he will be a success as he takes up his next challenge.”

He added: “We have already started the search for a corporate sales director to continue and develop the work Adrian has been involved in and to join the superb sales management team we have in place. I look forward to seeing the impact a good friend of myhomemove has in his new role.”

Whittaker said: “myhomemove is a fantastic business. Its success is down to its people, a brilliant senior management team, an award-winning customer journey, and putting the customer at the heart of everything that it does.

“I wish Doug, Dev and the team continued success and it is now time for me to take on a new challenge.”

Whittaker has over 25 years' experience working in the mortgage and financial services industry and has also been a non-exec director of Mortgage Brain.
