Abbey for intermediaries launches offline mortgage application software

- Brokers can now complete forms offline and submit applications online -

The ‘Offline Introducer Internet’ offers intermediaries even more flexibility by reducing the amount of time spent on the internet and associated costs, but with the same functionality as the online version.

Brokers can use the offline software to capture all the data required for an Agreement in Principle (AIP) and Full Mortgage Application (FMA) without being connected to the internet. This is especially useful for situations where internet access may be difficult to obtain or is unavailable, for example while at a client’s home. The broker then just needs to log on to the internet at some point to obtain the AIP and submit the application.

Abbey for Intermediaries Director, Mortgages and Protection, Ricky Okey said, “Abbey realises that brokers spend a lot of their time on the internet searching for product information and completing applications for clients. This new service can offer all these features without having to be connected to the internet, which is especially handy for brokers who are out and about with clients throughout the day. The Abbey software can be loaded onto a laptop or desktop computer and has the added advantage of mirroring the online version, so current users will be familiar with the functionality.”

Any cases submitted will be available to view on both the online and offline version of the system. In addition, brokers can source up to date product information from the offline database as long as the user updates their system when requested.
