100 new jobs created at Merseyside law firm

Senior Partner, Richard Barnett will make the announcement later today (2 October) at the firm’s opening ceremony of its new £3 million conveyancing headquarters situated on Southport Business Park. More than 100 mortgage industry professionals from around the country will be attending the ceremony starting at 6.00pm to help celebrate the firm’s latest achievement.

Richard Barnett commented on the firm’s latest announcement. He said:

“Over the past two years the firm has grown at a terrific rate, partly due to the buoyant housing market but mainly due to our working practices and level of service.

“We have also identified industry trends, technological developments and opportunities such as e-conveyancing, taking steps to make sure we maximise these events. This and the efforts of our staff have made the firm what it is today. I am delighted that we are in a position to create 100 more jobs."

The recruitment drive comes on the back of the firm’s decision to keep its operation in Britain, rather than follow many UK firms and outsource work to overseas locations.

Tony Swift, partner and director of conveyancing, commented on the decision. He said:

“The management team decided that this could result in the delivery of service levels inferior to those already provide by the skilled staff we employ. Rather than sacrifice jobs for short-term cost reduction measures, we wanted to develop our presence in Southport and the north west, where Barnetts has a significant commitment.”
