Pepper Money creates marketing hub for brokers

Specialist lender Pepper Money has dedicated a new section of its website to helping brokers market their businesses more effectively to new and existing customers.

The lender said its marketing hub provided information on the steps to consider before setting up a marketing campaign, including practical tips and insights into different customer types. It added that brokers could discover new ways to help grow their business through public relations, social and email marketing, and advertising.

“We hope this support is well received by brokers who are keen to promote their services further and potentially reach new target markets,” said Paul Adams (pictured), sales director at Pepper Money. “It may also support new broker firms to the industry in getting some early traction as they look to build a new customer base.

“This is also something we are doing to support consumers in seeking advice, especially those with specialist needs or complex credit scenarios.”

Adams cited the latest Specialist Lending Study from Pepper Money that found that just 24% of customers with adverse credit said they would seek the advice of a broker – the proportion down from 44% in 2021 and 66% in 2020.

“There is more that brokers can do to create awareness about how their advice and services can accommodate those customers whose circumstances may not appear straight forward to them, but yet can be fully supported on the housing ladder or in refinancing to save money,” he added.

“So, at Pepper Money, we are working hard to support brokers in marketing their business with this new dedicated area of our website.”
