HTB bolsters broker support team

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has expanded its specialist mortgage broker support team with the addition of four new lending managers.

The specialist bank said the move aims to provide brokers and their clients with high-quality service amid increasing demand for its specialist buy-to-let products.

Laila Perryman (second from right in picture) joins from Sirius Group, where she managed lending cases for over three years and earned her CeMAP certification.

Edward Shannon (far left in picture), formerly a relationship manager at United Trust Bank, also joins the team. He previously served as a lending manager at Recognise Bank and spent over four years at Redwood Bank, a start-up challenger.

Alex Mills (far right in picture), who led inside sales at Australian bank Moula, and Gabriella Csende (second from left in picture), who has been promoted from lending assessor to lending manager, complete the new team.

The broker support team plays a key role in ensuring specialist mortgage cases are assessed, packaged, and completed efficiently. They act as a dedicated contact for brokers throughout any stage of their lending application or case, working closely with business development managers and underwriters.

“Lending managers are the thread in our fabric, intricately weaved into our team to pull together vital information to ensure brokers receive the attentive service they, and their clients, deserve,” said Alex Upton, managing director of specialist mortgages.

“With these four new recruits offering heaps of personality, experience and energy, I’m convinced we’ve found the golden thread to strengthen our fleece.”
