Bluestone Mortgages bolsters BDM team

Specialist lender Bluestone Mortgages has strengthened its team of business development managers (BDM) with the addition of Steve Bailey (pictured) as its new field-based BDM for the South East of England.

Bailey brings a wealth of experience to the newly created role, having served as the head of internal sales at Landbay, accumulating over two decades of expertise in financial and specialist lending. His professional journey also includes significant roles at OneFamily and Lighthouse Financial Advice.

In his capacity as the South East BDM, Bailey will focus on cultivating new business leads and opportunities within the region. His key objective will be to assist brokers and intermediaries by providing them with lending deals, particularly for clients who have encountered obstacles in achieving their homeownership aspirations.

“We’re delighted to have Steve join us in a newly created position and be a part of Bluestone’s continuous journey to become the go-to lender for disenfranchised customers across the country,” Reece Beddall, sales and marketing director at Bluestone Mortgages, remarked. “He brings a wealth of experience in the mortgage industry and will be integral to helping Bluestone manage its valuable intermediary partnerships and support the firm’s growth aspirations in 2024.”

Commenting on his appointment, Bailey said he was thrilled to join Bluestone and be part of an expanding team and growing business.

“With relationship building and customer service at the heart of my role, I look forward to guiding intermediaries through their journey, and ensure brokers receive best in class service,” he added. “At a time when customers are being turned away from high street lenders, I’m excited to be a part of a business that is supporting disenfranchised customers in their quest to achieve their homeownership dreams through alternative lending solutions and products.”
