Target Group creates system for Help to Buy Wales

Target Group has implemented a new loan administration system for the Development Bank of Wales to use for Help to Buy Wales.

The system led to the successful migration of over 9,000 existing Help to Buy Wales clients onto Target’s platform, which will also be used to support new Help to Buy customers.

Stuart Anderson, chief commercial officer at Target Group, said:“Help to Buy Wales is a brilliant initiative providing vital funding support to thousands of new home purchases in Wales, many of which are with first time buyers.

“We are delighted to be involved in the scheme.

“The decision by the Development Bank of Wales to appoint Target Group is testament to the fantastic work our team has done in recent years to support our public sector clients.”

In addition, Target has appointed Richard South as business development director and Helen Adams as bid manager.

Reporting into Anderson, South will be drawing on over 20 years of client services experience, focussing primarily on public sector clients.

Adams joins from Welsh Rugby Union where she was responsible for relationship management with a range of stakeholders, including the Welsh government.

Anderson added: “We are delighted to welcome both Richard and Helen to Target and look forward to benefitting from their combined knowledge and expertise in the public sector.

“Coupled with our recent delivery with Help to Buy Wales, these strategic appointments have further cemented our focus on the public sector.

“We see many exciting opportunities to support the government’s Digital by Default initiative by transforming processes across the sector.

“I’m sure both Richard and Helen will play an important part in continuing the Target Group success story as we celebrate our 40thyear in business.”
