SimplyBiz Group’s Centra system hits 3,000 users

Over 3,000 users from 1,130 firms have now adopted SimplyBiz Group’s end-to-end financial planning system, Centra.

Launched in March 2018, Centra was developed by SimplyBiz in partnership with Defaqto – now part of The SimplyBiz Group – and supports the advice process at every step, from the first client meeting to the provision of suitability reports and ongoing reviews.

Dan Russell, managing director of SimplyBiz Investment Services, said: “Centra was designed by advisers, for advisers.

“When we launched Centra, I said that it will never be finished, and that we would listen to users and continuously evolve the service to ensure that we are providing the best possible solutions to our members.

“Working closely with advisers, and our colleagues at Defaqto, we intend to stick to that promise, and keep at the very cutting edge of advice technology, helping advisers power profitable and compliant businesses.”

This week also sees the launch of Centra’s new critical illness planning tool, CIC Compare, which will streamline the comparison of existing and new critical illness policies.

Further changes are planned for the second half of 2019, including modules to support pension transfer and switching, unit encashment income planning, and cashflow modelling, as well as new “multi-product” automated suitability reports.

Russell added: “The launch of CIC Compare is a prime example of this, and we look forward to introducing additional tools for the system in due course, supported by our face-to-face workshops taking place across the country.

“The 3,000 user mark is a great achievement for the team, and we are planning for many more to make the transition to Centra. We are putting ever-growing resource and effort into supporting the adoption of the system, including a continuous schedule of workshops around the country.”
