Santander offers 90% LTV mortgages for new self-employed customers

Financial services provider Santander has recently increased its LTV for self-employed homebuyers, allowing new customers to borrow up to 90% of a property’s value with a mortgage.

Existing self-employed customers moving home will still be able to borrow up to 95% LTV.

Affordability will be based on an average of two years’ income.

Customers can find how much they might be able to borrow using Santander’s mortgage calculator, or through advisors online or over the phone.

Graham Sellar, head of product proposition at Santander UK, said the changes will help the lender process applications more effectively.

“It will also enable us to open up the market for more people, providing an even better service to our brokers and customers,” he added.
