Mortgage broker joins panel at US crowdfunding summit

Broker and entrepreneur Lee Grandin has joined a panel of experts at the Crowd Invest Summit in Los Angeles to spread the word about the opportunities the UK mortgage market has to offer.

Grandin is founder of large portfolio focused buy-to-let brokerage Landlord Mortgages who lately launched Lend2landlord and Lend2developer, which link peer-to-peer funders with developers and landlords.

The Crowd Invest Summit has 2000 attendees, including high net worth individuals, private equity firms and developers, whom Grandin targets potentially linking up with.

Grandin said: “With Landlord Mortgages we took landlords through the buy-to-let boom; now we want to take landlords and developers global.

“We are very excited to be the first British company to attend the first Crowd Invest Summit.

“I am charged with answering questions about the UK investment property market, using my knowledge and experience to put landlords and developers’ needs first.

"This is definitely a start of something very special and we are at the forefront of the crowdfunding and peer2peer market development."

Grandin is targeting developers and landlords because he thinks the latter need to focus on refurbishment, development and new build rather than sitting on stock to make a quick buck.

Therefore a key message he’s spreading is investors can make a profit in the UK and invigorate the housing market in the process.
