Former Just Mortgages boss becomes Spicerhaart group MD

The former boss of Spicerhaart subsidiary Just Mortgages, Antony Lark, has been promoted to the newly created position of Spicerhaart group managing director.

Lark joined Spicerhaart seven years ago from Countrywide.

He said of his appointment: “I am over the moon to have been given this great opportunity.

“Spicerhaart is a very special business and the plans we have for growth over the next five years are extremely exciting.

“The world of estate agency and lettings has changed dramatically over the last five years and Spicerhaart is now bringing to life its plans to grow competitive advantage.

“Our focus is on our people who are enabled by best in class technology so that they can deliver a five-star service to our customers.”

As part of an operational restructure, three ‘chapter’ managing directors will report to Lark and chief executive Paul Smith.

These chapter managing directors are Russell Jervis, Steve Williams and a third who is soon to be announced.

Jervis, Williams and the unconfirmed appointment will be jointly responsible for the company’s eight estate agency, lettings brands and financial services business across the UK.

Smith added: “Mycongratulationsgo to Antony and all in our senior team who have been tasked with delivering our five year strategic growth plan for estate agency, lettings, financial services and new homes.”

Russell Jervis said: “The alignment of our businesses under a geographic chapter structure has been in the planning for several years.

“To now have that all in place ready for 2020 brings huge opportunity for growth in the years ahead.

“Having better synergy in our businesses will benefit both our customers and our staff.

“Antony will bring that wealth of experience in helping all management achieve their true potential.

“Pardon the pun but it really is a very exciting new ’chapter‘ for the Spicerhaart group.”
