Equifinance makes business development hire

Styles, who is based in Manchester, will work to develop and maintain relationships with brokers and set up agencies with new brokers in the Midlands, North and North West of England and Wales.

Second charge mortgage lender Equifinance has appointed Des Styles as a business development consultant.

Styles, who is based in Manchester, will work to develop and maintain relationships with brokers and set up agencies with new brokers in the Midlands, North and North West of England and Wales.

In a 35 year career Styles’ previous roles included being a board director with Associates Capital Corp and Future Mortgages, head of operations for Citifinancial Europe and a BDM for master broker Magic Loans.

Tony Marshall, managing director at Equifinance, said: “Des will be a real asset to the development team and such a key appointment demonstrates our commitment to the second charge market.

“He has proven ability to quickly build good working relationships. He is ideally located to serve the high-concentration of brokers in the North-West and Yorkshire in particular.”

Styles will also assist the senior team with product development and loan processing as the business grows.

Equifinance caters for customers who have experienced past financial difficulties.
