New equity release guide for consumers

‘A guide to specialist legal advice in equity release’ is available to download free from ERSA’s website: www.ersalaw.co.uk and is designed for consumers who want to find out more about the legal processes involved in equity release. However the guide is also an ideal tool for IFAs and brokers to suggest to clients as a way of finding out more about the complementary legal process to their own financial advice.

‘A guide to specialist legal advice in equity release’ forms one of five mini equity release guides, now available from ERSA’s website.

Claire Barker, Chairman at ERSA, commented: “This guide is designed to give consumers more information on equity release and the legal issues and process involved. IFAs are best placed to advise on product suitability and the schemes available. However this specialist legal guide aims to answer common questions and potential queries surrounding the legal requirements of equity release. The guide is therefore an ideal tool for IFAs to read and suggest to consumers prior to them speaking with a specialist solicitor, so to ensure they go into the process armed with the facts.”
