Tiuta exodus continues

Tiuta’s former chief executive, George Patellis, left the company at the end of February this year followed in April by Guy Garrard, head of business development, Stuart Brumhill, head of marketing, and regional account managers Gordon Rae and Jim Baker.

Tiuta said Kirkbright’s decision to leave the lender after four years was “to pursue other career opportunities”.

Cowlard is to join Link Lending as an underwriter.

The lender has also announced that former Cheval national sales manager Gareth Lewis has joined as its new head of business development.

Kirsty Buchanan, previously with J S Law, has been appointed as a new business development manager.

Lewis and Buchanan will report to Tiuta chief executive, Steven Nicholas, and will be responsible for generating business through existing and new broker relationships.

As a result of these departures a number of further changes have also taken place within Tiuta, which it said “reflecti both growth plans and enhanced controls”.

Helen Farmer has been promoted to head of underwriting, with all underwriting and underwriting support staff reporting to her, while Ian Rennie has been promoted to team leader for underwriting.

Steven Nicholas, CEO of Tiuta, said: “Having made some significant improvements to our sales and lending operations we are pleased to welcome both Gareth and Kirsty to our business development team.

“These are exciting times for Tiuta with considerable levels of funding to lend and a range of opportunities for brokers whose clients are looking for short-term finance, bridging loans, development finance, and much more. Both Gareth and Kirsty have a wealth of experience in this area and they will predominantly be out on the road cultivating new and existing broker relationships.

“It is always sad to lose valued colleagues, in particular, Anita who has displayed immense dedication and commitment to Tiuta for over four years. We respect the fact that she wants to pursue other interests however we will certainly miss what she has brought to the business; she single-handedly managed the development of our mortgage processing system which has been fundamental to our ongoing success and she has made a valuable contribution to the development of the firm. They both leave with our appreciation for what they have achieved and we wish them well in the next stages of their careers. We will be giving both Anita and Debbie a suitable send-off at their joint leaving celebrations on the 1st June.

“These departures have also resulted in a number of further changes which strengthen the business including the promotions of both Helen and Ian within the underwriting department. We have also introduced new lines of reporting within the company that provide greater clarity and streamlined communication. This has ultimately resulted in a more focused process of delivery and allows us to concentrate on lending the significant sums of funding we have available in our core lending areas. We would therefore urge any broker active in this marketplace to contact Tiuta to see how we can help deliver the financial needs of their client base.”
