AMI completes 2016 elections

"The election process ensures that the membership affirms that it is being properly represented."

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries has completed its election process for 2016.

Sesame’s Mark Graves and Countrywide’s Peter Curran have been elected to the AMI board covering the network constituencies while L&G’s Stephen Smith picks up the mantle for the mortgage club constituency and Scott Taylor-Barr of Shropshire-based Carl Taylor Summers joins the practioner constituency.

Joining Taylor Barr will be Coreco’s Andrew Montlake and John Whyte from The Right Equity Release – both of whom were re-elected.

John Charcol’s Ray Boulger has been re-elected for the regional constituency while Key Retirement Solutions’ Dean Mirfin was re-elected to the national constituency.

Robert Sinclair (pictured), chief executive of AMI, said: “This process ensures that the membership affirms that it is being properly represented.

“I would like to thank all those who stand for election which ensures a democratic process.

“I would also like to express my sincere thanks to Steve Smith of Springtide who is standing down from the board after many years of service and support.

“I know this was difficult decision and would like to express my sincere thanks for his contributions over the years and hope that he may return at some time in the future.”
