Alternative Bridging appoints new BDM

Specialist lender Alternative Bridging Corporation has announced the addition of James McDonough (pictured) to its sales team covering the north of England and Scotland.

McDonough has financial services experience dating back to 2015. He previously worked as a broker, as well as for providers. Most recently, he worked as a business development manager for short-term lender Hope Capital.

Reporting to Paul Gavin, northern division head of sales at Alternative Bridging Corporation, McDonough is expected to utilise his experience to support brokers in the region in finding solutions for their clients who require bridging, development, or commercial finance secured on property as a first or second charge.

Last year, the lender expanded its office space by more than 50% to accommodate a larger team and provide room for further expansion.

“I’m delighted to welcome James to the team as we continue to increase the support we offer to brokers who are looking for innovative specialist property finance,” Gavin said. “With his wide breadth of experience, he has a strong understanding of the pressures that brokers experience and the way that lenders like Alternative Bridging can help relieve those pressures and deliver great outcomes for their clients.”

Commenting on his appointment, McDonough said he was pleased to join a lender “with a strong reputation for innovative products supported by excellent service.”

He added: “Having previously worked as a broker myself, I have unique insights into how we can work in partnership with our brokers for the ultimate benefit of their clients.”
