OMS appoints head of operations

One Mortgage System (OMS), a processing platform for mortgage intermediaries, has announced the appointment of Kevin Blount (pictured) as head of operations.

With over two decades of experience in the financial services sector, Blount transitions from his role as director of technical operations at Clever Lending. Previously, he served as a mortgage adviser at Nottingham Building Society and Clever Mortgages for eight years.

In his new role at OMS, Blount assumes responsibility for overseeing all new integrations and developmental initiatives, including the development of a business roadmap. Additionally, he will spearhead project management efforts for the rollout of new systems among lenders and network partners.

Launched in 2017, OMS is a customer relationship management system, covering product areas such as residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, commercial, plus general insurance and protection.

“Kevin knows the intermediary mortgage space inside and out, especially when it comes to the more specialist end of the market,” said Neal Jannels, managing director at One Mortgage System. “His skillset and extensive knowledge base will be hugely beneficial to our business and our ever-expanding range of clients going forwards.

“2024 is set to be a pivotal year for the business following a period of extensive recruitment to bolster a senior management team which will help us to deliver some ambitious and aggressive growth plans.”

Commenting on his appointment, Blount said he had always been impressed by how OMS had grown as a business over time.

“For me, they are one of the biggest success stories in the mortgage intermediary space over the past few years,” he added. “I can’t wait to be part of this exciting new chapter.”
