I fear unexpected consequences of EU vote

First Complete network is also experiencing levels of unprecedented growth in mortgage and protection, significantly exceeding 2015 levels.

First Complete network is experiencing levels of unprecedented growth in mortgage and protection, significantly exceeding 2015 levels.

However, it is not just about the network for us and it is not just a numbers game - it is about what we can do for our ARs. Our commitment is to the firms in First Complete and how we can work with them to ensure they can achieve their goals and aspirations; business and personal. It is important to us that we remember this and remain committed to our members and not just get wrapped up in the here and now.

Our aim is to ensure that they continue to grow to become healthy, efficient and profitable businesses while achieving optimum customer outcomes.

Of course, while things continue to grow for us and our ARs, it is wise to keep an eye on wider events. Whatever your political persuasion, the EU referendum will have an effect as it creates a level of uncertainty.

My frustration is that we have had so much change and now we have this on our shoulders. My hope is that it doesn’t damage the consumer confidence out there. Customers have an array of positive services at the moment: excellent advice, good mortgage rates, a growing awareness of the need for protection and the great protection products, fuelled by general consumer confidence and an appetite to move house.

I just do not want that to be damaged as the referendum edges nearer, as people may put off making financial decisions until they know the result – and that may not be the end of it. I just hope that there are not unexpected consequences of the vote whichever way it goes.
