Customer relations management (CRM) provider One Mortgage System (OMS) has announced the appointment of Laura Smith (pictured) as business relationship manager.

Smith, who has worked within the intermediary mortgage market for over seven years, joins OMS from Knowledge Bank, where she held the position of sales and marketing manager.

She previously spent over six years at Fleet Mortgages, where she held a number of positions, including those of sales executive, senior internal business development manager, and latterly as a marketing executive.

In her new role, Smith will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with OMS clients, providing them with the best possible solutions to their needs.

OMS, launched in 2017, provides end-to-end CRM system, covering product areas such as residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, commercial, plus general insurance and protection. It has already integrated with six platforms – Iress, Twenty7Tec, iPipeline, Submissions Brain, SmartrFit and Knowledge Bank – to offer product sourcing, protection sourcing, and criteria searching to users. 

It was awarded the Best Product or Digital Innovation award in the SFI Awards 2022.

“2023 is set to be a huge year for OMS as we have a significant growth strategy in place and ambitious targets that we are determined to hit,” commented Neal Jannels, managing director.

“Laura’s experience, skillset, drive, and determination will play an important role within these plans, and she is one of a number of key hires we are in the process of making, which will not only better support our ever-growing userbase but also help us to initiate future system enhancements, integrations and optimisations.”

Commenting on her appointment, Smith said she was “hugely excited to start engaging with new and existing clients.”
