Just Mortgages recruits new sales manager

Broker firm Just Mortgages has appointed Andy Cuthbert (pictured) to the role of sales manager for the Midlands to further support the growth of its self-employed division.

Cuthbert brings with him 30 years of experience across the mortgage industry, with a career beginning in 1993 as an adviser for Black Horse agencies. He then joined an independent estate agency and worked his way from adviser right through to managing director during a 13-year tenure.  He also previously worked for Just Mortgages as financial services sales director from 2010 to 2013.

In his new role as sales manager, Cuthbert will work closely with 30 self-employed advisers across the region, providing guidance and support to expand their skillset and explore opportunities to grow their businesses.

Earlier this year, Just Mortgages appointed five new regional directors to provide the necessary structure for future expansion. With growing interest in becoming self-employed, the brokerage said the division is set to reach 500 advisers later this year.

Commenting on his appointment, Cuthbert said he was excited to be back at Just Mortgages.

“When the opportunity came up, it felt like a natural fit and something to investigate further,” he stated. “It’s great to be able to use my experience and work closely with Just Mortgages’ ambitious advisers to provide the support they need to reach their full potential.

“The change in the business over the last 10 years has been amazing, with the launch and massive expansion of the self-employed division. The team is clear in its ambitions to expand the division, and I am thrilled to be playing my part in that.”

Carl Parker, national director at Just Mortgages, added that since the launch of its self-employed division, the aim has been to provide advisers with the necessary infrastructure around them.

“By expanding our team and increasing the knowledge base within the division, not only can we continue that principal, but we can be more targeted in the level of support we provide,” Parker said.

“It’s great to welcome Andy back to the team, who will be a valuable resource to advisers in the region. We believe we offer a fantastic proposition to those looking to go self-employed, whether it’s through support running the business, improving and developing skills or expanding licence options to increase income streams. We are firm believers that doing it alone doesn’t mean being alone.”
