Conveyancing Association announces annual conference details

The Conveyancing Association (CA) has released the full agenda for its 2025 Annual Conference, which will take place on Thursday, January 30, at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester.

With Landmark Information Group as the headline sponsor, the event will explore the theme, “Past, present and future – where is the conveyancing industry up to and what can we expect in the future?”

The conference will evaluate the sector’s progress toward achieving a fully digital end-to-end conveyancing process by 2030, a goal the CA identified in 2020. At the halfway point, the association aims to assess current industry advancements and outline a roadmap for the next five years.

Eddie Goldsmith, CA advisor, will chair the event, which will include sessions addressing challenges and opportunities facing the conveyancing sector.

Rob Gurney, managing director at Ochresoft, will deliver a presentation on data technology and artificial intelligence as part of Landmark’s sponsorship.

This will be followed by a panel discussion on sustainability, led by Chris Loaring, Landmark’s director of sustainability. Ed Boulle of Orbital Witness will present on the use of AI in conveyancing, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Beth Rudolf, CA’s director of delivery, featuring panellists from TM Group, Dye & Durham UK, PEXA, and WNS.

Attendees can also participate in parallel discussion groups running throughout the day. Topics include social media, marketing, and public relations, led by David Gilroy of Stuff & Things, Conscious Solutions; pricing models in the conveyancing industry, facilitated by David Bridge of Kiteleys Solicitors with input from industry experts; talent attraction and recruitment strategies, presented by Nick Hale of ONP; and technology adoption in conveyancing, with panellists from inCase, Thirdfort, Armalytix, Post Partner, and Orbital Witness, moderated by Beth Rudolf.

“We are just a few weeks away from what is the highlight of the year for the Conveyancing Association – our annual conference and dinner,” said Nicky Heathcote (pictured), non-executive chair of the Conveyancing Association. “The agenda reflects the key issues impacting conveyancing firms today, including economic challenges, the housing market, and the growing role of AI.

“With sessions tailored to address both current and future trends, this event promises to provide actionable insights, CPD opportunities, and a chance to connect with industry peers. We are looking forward to welcoming delegates from across the sector to what promises to be an informative and engaging day.”

Registration is open for CA members and non-members.
