AFG restructures broker services with new head of sales role

Australian Finance Group (AFG) has named Ross McDougall (pictured top) as head of sales – broker services, a newly created position within the aggregator's expanding distribution structure.

McDougall brings 13 years of experience at AFG to the role, having most recently served as growth manager for Partner Connect. Prior to joining AFG in 2013, he held a senior sales executive position at CMC Markets ANZ.

In his new capacity, McDougall will retain oversight of the Partner Connect service while taking on wider responsibility for sales growth and partner opportunities across the AFG network.

"Ross has been central to AFG, building and shaping Partner Connect into what it is today, and this new role reflects the next stage of how we support brokers," Lam said.

"By bringing services, sales growth, and partner opportunities closer together, we can help brokers access more value from AFG's technology, partnerships and scale."

AFG said the restructured role would give McDougall a stronger platform to support its broker network, with his approach noted for focusing on broker needs and delivering tools that assist brokers in building sustainable businesses.
