Suncorp Bank confirms GM of home lending

Troy Fedder (pictured above) has been appointed as Suncorp Bank’s executive general manager for home lending, after spending six months in the role in an interim capacity.

Fedder was made acting executive general manager of home lending on December 4.

“It’s been a great journey with Suncorp Bank during  the past three-and-a-half years as head of broker partnerships and then in the acting EGM home lending role for the past six months,” he said.

“It’s been an exciting time, so I’m really proud to continue leading the home lending business for Suncorp Bank and I look forward to the great things we will do as a business in the future.”

At the time of his appointment as acting executive general manager of home lending, Fedder said that the bank had invested a lot in enhancing the entire broker journey, including products, policies, process, and broker support.

“We see brokers and aggregator partners as critical to our success at Suncorp Bank, and we remain committed to ensuring our relationship with them is a key priority,” Fedder said, following confirmation of his role on June 4.

“My new role oversees all of home lending at Suncorp Bank which includes the broker channel along with product and pricing, operations, project transformation and specialty customer care.

“I will continue to support the relationships with our aggregator partners and be actively involved in the industry.”

Fedder’s goals

Fedder said his goals were  to continue to strengthen Suncorp Bank’s support for the broker channel and to improve service for customers.

“We listen to broker and customer feedback and use it to implement further changes to our processes and systems.”

Suncorp Bank’s home loan business

Fedder said each year the bank continued to do more business with broker partners for home lending.

“We remain committed to prioritising and protecting our customers. Over the coming year we will continue to focus on our SunLight segment which focuses on higher quality, simpler borrowers,” he said.

“I’m optimistic about the next 12 months when I think about the broker industry and Suncorp Bank’s relationship with brokers.”

CEO congratulates Fedder

In a message to the bank’s aggregator partners, Suncorp Bank CEO Bruce Rush said Fedder had done an incredible job of leading “our wider home lending business over the past six months and this appointment is well deserved”.

“I have no doubt that Troy will continue to deliver great outcomes for our brokers and customers,” Rush said. “He will continue to maintain the relationships he has with you as our aggregator partners.”

Rush confirmed that Shane Davis would continue  in the role of acting head of broker partnerships while national partnerships manager Jeannette Rowlands would continue to report directly to Fedder.
