It also announces key promotions

AFG Home and Commercial Loans is introducing a new regional sales leadership structure, marking a shift from its national model.
The restructure, effective July 1, includes two internal promotions aimed at strengthening broker support across its network.
Under the revised framework, AFG’s sales operations will be split into two geographical regions. Anthony D’Agruma (pictured above left) will oversee the Eastern region, which includes Queensland, New South Wales and the ACT. Meanwhile, Briony Miglis (pictured above right) will take charge of the South West region, covering Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
D’Agruma, a 15-year veteran of the company, previously held the role of senior business relationship manager in Sydney. Miglis, with 10 years at AFG, will lead the strategy from Adelaide while continuing in her role as state manager for the South Australian aggregation division.
The restructure follows the departure of James Tran, the current national manager of AFG Home Loans, who is set to leave in June to become a broker within the AFG network. It also comes shortly after a separate leadership update at AFG in March, when Foti Apostolidis and Christa Malkin were named state manager for Victoria and Tasmania and general manager of aggregation, respectively.
AFG Home and Commercial Loans general manager Hayden Cush said the change was driven by the company’s growth and the need for more tailored sales support.
“We are excited to implement this new structure that will ensure brokers have the right support from the top,” Cush said. “We are fortunate to be able to hire from within while opening up new opportunities for quality candidates to join our business and advance their careers at AFG.”
To support the transition, the company is recruiting business relationship managers for its Adelaide and Melbourne offices. Cush noted that both regional leaders will be backed by experienced sales staff and BRMs, with additional hires planned.
