Mortgage professionals have until this Friday, 16 October, to nominate themselves, their business or an industry standout for the New Zealand Mortgage Awards 2027.
With submissions continuing to roll in, the closing deadline is a reminder to put forward the people and organisations whose achievements deserve national recognition.
Whether it is an adviser delivering outstanding client outcomes, a BDM helping navigate complex deals or a brokerage, lender or aggregator raising the standard of service, now is the time to recognise their contribution
Presented by NZ Adviser alongside event partner Liberty Financial and a range of award sponsors, the annual awards celebrate achievements, best practices and leadership across New Zealand’s mortgage sector over the past 12 months.
There are 21 award categories, covering advisers, brokerages, aggregators, lenders, BDMs and service providers. Entrants can nominate themselves, their team or their organisation, or put forward someone else whose work has impressed them.
A black-tie celebration at Cordis
The 2027 awards will bring the industry together for a black-tie gala dinner at Cordis Auckland on 11 March 2027, stepping up the celebration following the previous year’s cocktail-style event.
Alongside the announcement of winners, the evening will offer attendees the chance to celebrate with peers, reconnect with industry partners and build new relationships.
For now, however, the immediate deadline is nominations. Those planning to enter should review the relevant categories and criteria and ensure their submission is completed by Friday.
Recognition across the industry
The categories offer opportunities to highlight success across residential, commercial, specialist and regional lending, alongside innovation and the achievements of those beginning their careers.
These include the Pepper Money Adviser of the Year – Residential, Spinnaker Capital Commercial Mortgage Adviser of the Year, Adviser of the Year – Specialist Lending and Xceda Adviser of the Year – Regional awards.
The First Mortgage Trust New Adviser of the Year category recognises emerging talent, while the Newpark Home Loans Lifetime Achievement award honours a lasting contribution to the industry. The national Liberty Adviser of the Year award will also recognise outstanding adviser achievement.
The awards acknowledge the wider teams and relationships supporting advice businesses, with categories for loan administrators and bank, specialist lender and aggregator BDMs.
Company awards span brokerages of different sizes, regional businesses, new brokerages, diversification and customer service, alongside recognition for lenders and aggregators.
Still thinking about it?
For businesses weighing up whether to enter, a nomination is an opportunity to reflect on the results they have delivered and give their team’s work a wider audience. Recognition can also help raise an individual or organisation’s profile, with excellence awardees and winners celebrated across NZ Adviser’s online channels and events.
Nominating a colleague or business partner offers another way to acknowledge the support, expertise and commitment that can make a difference throughout the year.
If your team has delivered a year worth celebrating, or someone in your network deserves recognition, make sure their achievements are in the running.
