Revealed: 2023’s Rising Stars of mortgage broking

MPA can now reveal Australia’s top up-and-coming young mortgage professionals that have been selected for Rising Stars 2023.

The 35 best mortgage brokers aged under 35 were chosen for Rising Stars following an exhaustive process.

To find the highest performing achievers, MPA invited mortgage companies from across the country to nominate their top picks.

For the awards, sponsored by ING, all nominees had to be:

  • Aged 35 or under
  • Have written more than $15 million in loans from October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022
  • Have worked as accredited brokers for no more than two years

Submissions from brokers needed to explain why each nominee deserved to be considered, and recommendations were taken from nominees’ peers to decide who made the final cut.

After reviewing all entries, MPA chose 35 Rising Stars who had made the most significant impact on the industry through their financial results, determination, and drive.

“We are so proud to sponsor MPA’s 2023 Rising Stars,” said ING head of sales and distribution Glenn Gibson. “These young brokers are the future of the broker industry and ING will be alongside with them as they navigate their way in their businesses.”

Among this year’s winners are Daniel Behman, founder and director of Core Financial Group in Melbourne;  Michael Wu, founder of 10X Home Lending also based in Melbourne; Mark Kilada, a mortgage broker at Sydney’s Power Loans and Morgan Bushell, the founder and director of Sydney brokerage Full Circle Finance.
