Bridgit names Ognenovski chief revenue officer

Veteran executive takes on newly created role to scale revenue and distribution

Bridgit names Ognenovski chief revenue officer

Bridging finance specialist Bridgit has named Nick Ognenovski (pictured) as its new chief revenue officer, marking the latest in a series of senior appointments as the non-bank lender continues to expand its national footprint.

In this newly created role, Ognenovski will lead the company’s end-to-end revenue strategy, overseeing sales, go-to-market execution, and performance across both direct and third-party distribution channels. His focus will be on accelerating growth and scaling operations, particularly through the broker network.

Ognenovski joins Bridgit from Cashrewards, where he held the dual role of chief operating and revenue officer prior to the company’s acquisition by ANZ. There, he led all revenue-generating functions and introduced data-driven strategies to increase customer acquisition and retention.

He brings nearly 20 years of experience across leadership positions at companies including Groupon — where he served as country manager for Australia and the UAE — as well as senior roles at Samsung and Cisco.

Ognenovski’s appointment follows a string of recent hires as Bridgit strengthens its leadership and distribution capabilities. In April, the lender appointed Stephen Doyle as chief commercial officer, alongside three new business development managers (BDMs), to support its continued national growth. Earlier in the year, Bridgit expanded its distribution team further by hiring five additional state-based BDMs to meet rising demand from brokers.

Bridgit chief executive Aaron Bassin welcomed Ognenovski to the executive team, stating that “his experience building multi-channel revenue streams and driving growth will be invaluable.”

“With a people-first leadership style and sharp commercial focus, Nick will play a key role in expanding our reach and delivering exceptional solutions and experiences to our partners,” Bassin said. “Particularly through our broker network, empowering them to help clients unlock their home equity and move forward.”

Commenting on his new role, Ognenovski said “it’s an exciting time to be joining Bridgit.”

“The business has quickly built a strong reputation for speed, simplicity, and innovation in what is traditionally a complex category, and has made impressive progress in the third-party channel,” he added. “I’m looking forward to building on that momentum, helping brokers and customers unlock even more value, and driving the next phase of growth.”
