New portal features aim to reduce reliance on manual status updates
Pepper Money has launched a real-time application-tracking tool for mortgage advisers, marking a significant development in how home loan processes are managed across the country.
The company announced on Tuesday that its new App Tracker, now live through the Pepper Money Adviser Portal, gives advisers end-to-end visibility of every application in real time – from lodgement through to settlement.
The tool allows advisers to securely upload documents, manage conditions through a centralised dashboard, and communicate directly with Pepper Money’s credit assessors within the portal, the company said.
Pepper Money said the launch comes as application volumes rise and lending scenarios grow more complex, with advisers increasingly managing multiple touchpoints and systems. The company said the tracker is designed to reduce the time advisers spend requesting manual updates.
Country head Campbell Smith said the launch reflects the lender’s commitment to improving adviser access to technology and transparency.
“As the first non-bank in New Zealand to launch this kind of capability for advisers, this is an important step forward for both Pepper Money and the adviser experience,” Smith said.
“Advisers are managing more complexity than ever, and they need faster, more transparent ways to keep deals moving and support their customers with confidence.”
“Real-time visibility at this level simply hasn’t been available to advisers. We’re changing that and lifting the standard for transparency while continuing to deliver the flexibility and partnership Pepper Money is known for.”
Smith also pointed to the role technology plays in adviser relationships.
“Technology plays a critical role in how advisers choose who they do business with,” he said. “This is about making it easier for advisers to work with Pepper Money by giving them greater visibility, more control, and quicker access to the information they need across every deal.”
The announcement follows recent recognition for the lender, including the Outstanding Non-Bank Lender Recognition Award from Kiwi Adviser Network and a top ranking in an independent adviser survey conducted by Adaptive Intelligence.
Pepper Money said the App Tracker forms part of a broader investment in digital capability as it aims to scale its operations across New Zealand.
