OREA appoints Sean Morrison as its new president

The Ontario Real Estate Association has announced its new president: Sean Morrison, based in Burlington.

Morrison brings with him 14 years of experience in the industry. He is a broker and manager with Coldwell Banker Momentum Realty Inc., as well as a member of the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB). Having served in the latter association’s Board of Directors for 4 years, Morrison was also an active member and chair on multiple committees with both RAHB and OREA.

OREA stated that Morrison will steward the association’s continued drive towards raising industry standards, fighting for current and prospective home owners, and improving the province’s housing market conditions.

“Our REALTOR® members, Boards, and Associations made great strides to keep the dream of home ownership alive in 2019. But we have more work to do for future generations,” Morrison said.

“I’m excited to be taking on the mantle of OREA President in 2020 and I look forward to the opportunities ahead as we continue to advocate for homeowners and make Ontario REALTORS® North American leaders in professional standards, training and modern real estate tools.”

At present, OREA represents 80,000 brokers and sales professionals affiliated with 37 real estate boards across Ontario.
