A Canadian broker network has developed a tool that will help clients prequalify for mortgages quicker and easier, and get them directly in touch with brokers.
A Canadian broker network has developed a tool that will help clients prequalify for mortgages quicker and easier, and get them directly in touch with brokers.
“Unlike the traditional mortgage calculator, our pre-qualification tool actually assists consumers in taking the first step in the mortgage process,” Paul Therien, vice president of operations for Centum Canada said. “Our tool uses CMHC and lender guidelines to process applications and offer accurate options to the consumer. It brings the qualifying process right into the home of the consumer allowing them to start the mortgage process at their convenience.”
Centum’s new tool includes an eight step questionnaire that not only pre-qualifies clients, but also connects them directly with a mortgage broker. Users receive a response within seven minutes of submitting an application and the entire process takes less than 15 minutes, according to the network.
The tool has been in development for more than two years and is available on all Centum.ca websites.
