A consumer advocacy group are urging the federal government to take action to curb rising cellphone and internet bills saying that some people are choosing to cut back on food rather than communications.

A consumer advocacy group are urging the federal government to take action to curb rising cellphone and internet bills saying that some people are choosing to cut back on food rather than communications. The Public Interest Advocacy Centre says that families are racking up debts rather than go without services which are now part of everyday life. Low income households spend more than 7 per cent of their income on communications.
