Crombie Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) has announced the appointment of Michael Knowlton as chair of its board of trustees.

Knowlton replaces the retiring Frank Sobey as board chair. Knowlton has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, including serving as president of Dundee REIT for five years. He currently serves as a director of Tricon Capital Group and as a trustee of Dream Industrial REIT. A trustee of Crombie REIT since 2011. Knowlton has been chairing Crombie's audit committee since 2014.

Crombie has also announced that each of the nominees proposed for election at the general meeting of unitholders were elected. The trustees are Paul Beesley, Donald Clow, John Eby, Michael Knowlton, Barbara Palk, Jason Shannon, and Elisabeth Stroback. The vote was conducted by show of hands without a ballot.
