One Canadian brokerage is going all-in on a platform built to end the multi-tool juggle
BrokerPlus, a Toronto-founded mortgage technology company, has secured its first brokerage-wide partnership with Premiere Mortgage Centre — a Halifax, Nova Scotia-based brokerage operating since 2006, with a network of more than 200 mortgage professionals serving clients across Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland.
The rollout follows a period of early adoption by several Premiere brokers, whose real-world feedback shaped the platform before its wider launch.
Ann Pope, broker and Master Mentor at Premiere Mortgage Centre, was among those early users, working directly with the BrokerPlus team throughout product development.
"BrokerPlus has completely changed how I manage my business," Pope said.
"It proactively identifies opportunities within my client base, keeps me connected with homeowners long after their mortgage closes, and has dramatically simplified document collection. It saves time while helping me provide better service to every client."
One platform, three functions
BrokerPlus brings client retention, client engagement, and document collection into a single integrated system. The platform continuously analyses funded mortgage portfolios for refinance, renewal, and debt consolidation opportunities, while white-labelled homeowner reports, equity updates, and automated communications maintain client relationships between transactions.
A secure portal allows borrowers to upload documents with automatic verification of income, down payment, and liabilities — reducing manual processing and accelerating lender-ready submissions.
Swish Goswami, co-founder and CEO of BrokerPlus, said the platform's purpose is consolidation.
"Mortgage brokers have traditionally pieced together multiple tools to manage client relationships, marketing, and document collection," he said.
"Our goal is to simplify that experience into one platform that helps brokers grow their business while delivering a better client experience. The collaboration and feedback from the Premiere team played an important role in helping us get there."
A fully integrated origination system on the way
BrokerPlus has confirmed the next phase of its platform will be a fully integrated mortgage origination system designed to guide files from application through funding.
Internal testing by BrokerPlus indicates processing time could be reduced by as much as 70%, with a formal announcement expected next month.
The development reflects broader industry thinking. Brokers who invest in integrated technology now will win the open-banking era, as the renewal wave continues to drive record origination volumes to broker desks across the country.
Kerri Reed and Don MacVicar, managing partners at Premiere Mortgage Centre, said the decision to adopt BrokerPlus brokerage-wide came from their brokers on the ground.
"Our role as a brokerage is to support the individual businesses of the agents and the brokers while aligning our core values and strategies as a business ourselves," they said in a joint statement.
"Several of our brokers were early adopters and consistently shared how much value they were seeing. Supporting a Canadian company that is solving real challenges for mortgage professionals was an easy decision for us."
Goswami is scheduled to lead a technology session on deal lifecycle efficiency at MortgageFest Canada, where he is expected to address where file time is most commonly lost across the broker workflow.
BrokerPlus is backed by the Hyatt Family Office and Cowie Capital.
