Completing post-graduate school in 1991, he held various roles in real estate ownership, commercial mortgage syndication, and property management, including a stint at Vector Financial.

Between 2004 and 2012, Oelbaum expanded his expertise in the financial sector, obtaining an IIROC designation and gaining diverse securities experience.
